The CIty of Van is undergoing a change in financial reporting and publication, based on the Transparency Stars program under the Texas Comptroller's Office. Data is being added to this section of the website until all program components are addressed. This is an ongoing process and each section will be published as data can be compiled and uploaded. Once all items to a relevant section are complete, an application to the Transapency Stars program for that section will be made.
Texas Comptroller’s program "Transparency Stars" recognizes local government entities that provide easy online access to important financial data. The CIty of Van is working towards earning all five stars in the program. See more on the program by clicking this link.

Traditional finances provide financial information pertaining to the City’s financial and budgetary reporting, including investment information and financial policies. It also includes downloadable check registers and budget data.
Debt obligations provide detailed information about the City’s outstanding debt.
Economic development provides information on funding used to promote development within the City, stimulate commercial activity, generate sales tax, and enhance the property tax base and economic vitality of the City.
Public pensions provide information on the City’s employee pension plan, administered by TMRS.
Contracts and Procurement
Contracts and procurement give information about procurement policies, and current bid opportunities, and include current and historical bid award information.
